1959: An Important Year for Coins!

These are two coins I recently got in my change. The top is a 1959 Lincoln Cent. It was a major change in the history of coins because back then coin design changes were few and far between. At that time the most recent coin design change had been the Franklin Half Dollar that replaced the Walking Liberty Half Dollar, which was around for over 30 years. The Wheat Cent itself had been around for 50 years making this a well-waited coin. Now it is worth only $0.03 for metal value. The bottom picture is a 1959 Jefferson Nickel. It is relatively bland and there is not much to say about it other than it's worth $0.05-$0.10.
