1944-(P) & 1944-D Licoln Cents!

Yay! More actual finds! Well, one of them at least. The 1944-(P) (the one on the right) I found sometime last year and the 1944-D (the one on the left) I bought in a lot. They are both common dates/mint marks with the exception of the 1944-D/S and the magnetic 1944 cents made with 1943 planchets. They are both worth $0.10-$0.20. Today's background is an Ace Ventura movie case.

1901 British Penny!

Got this at... uh... nevermind. It's a 1901 British penny as it says clearly in the title and not so clearly on the coin. It's got Queen Victoria on the obverse and Britannia on the reverse. If I remeber correctly this coin is worth about $0.20-$0.30 so I find it ridiculous that this coin in the same to lower grades is going for anywhere from $0.76 to almost $40.00 on eBay. Oh and today's background is a card of some sort.

100th Post!

Today marks the day that I post my 100th post (this one, of course). It's been about 2 months since my 6 month anniversary so there's not that much new stuff to report. I did find my first 2012 cent, get a Where's George bill, witness the downfall of the Canadian Cent, and while I just read down my post list I found out that this is my most popular post. I also just found out that I have 5,934 views on all of my posts! Thanks to everyone who has visited, commented, showed this to others, etc.!

2000-D Sacagewea Dollar!

Yay! It's an actual change find! I'm pretty sure I got this last year although I can't remember where or when exactly. It's in rough shape with some scratches, marks, tarnish, etc. With these factors it is sadly worth only $1.00. Today's background is a picture of a series 2006 $5.00 bill.

1954-S Roosevelt Dime!

Here is yet another silver dime from... you know where. It's a 1954-S Roosevelt Dime and it's made of 90% silver and 10% copper. It's worth about $2.00. Oh and today's background is a Dunny box.

1951-S Roosevelt Dime

Here's my first coin with a nice new background (its a cigar box). Now let's see if I can make up some great story of how I found it instead of the same old boring flea market story. Hmmm... I was... Ok I've got nothing. Anyway this is obviously a 1951-S dime and it's also pretty obvious where I got it. It is worth about $2.50.

Backgrounds!

**UPDATE TO BLOG**

This post is almost completely un-coin related but I feel that it is at least somewhat important. I've noticed that almost every post I do now has that same brown background. It gets kinda (actually very) boring so I'm going to change up! From now on until I just get lazy or frustrated enough to stop I'm going to put some sort of background behind whatever is being featured.

(NOTE: This is 99% inspired by Man an 1% inspired by me being tired of that same background.)

John Denver Rocky Mountain Christmas Record!

This is a subject I know almost nothing about. This is the only record I own and it is in rough shape. There are a few scratches on both sides and there is also damage on the case/cover. I don't know much about this record (or any record as I said before) other than the songs on it and that it's by John Denver. What I do know is why I bought it. In the 1994 movie Dumb and Dumber Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) says "Huh. I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this." to which Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) replies  "I was thinkin' the same thing. That John Denver's full of shit, man." When I saw this record I was immediately reminded of the quote so I decided to buy it. It cost $1.00 which I think is fair for a nice collector's piece/decoration (I don't own a record player). I've also seen them going for around $5.00-$15.00 on eBay but I'm guessing those aren't as scratched up and the covers are in nicer condition.

Where's George?

TRACK ME AT WWW.WHERESGEORGE.COM

This is the first Where's George bill I've found in a while and it is also the first one I've found to be featured on this blog. Notice how dirty and mistreated it is. There is a small tear under the words ONE DOLLAR on the front and back. The corners are folded, rounded, and very dirty as is the rest of the bill. At this point you may be wondering what happened to the serial number. My explanation is: I have blocked out the serial number so that the "game" will not be spoiled for others. If everyone who saw this entered the serial number the game would be ruined for this bill.

Now for some info on the bill's tracking history. The bill was first entered at Rochester, NY where it travelled 719 miles to where I live in 71 days, 15 hours, and 18 minutes. I was also the first person to report the bill.

1940-S Jefferson Nickel

I got this with my 1939-(P) Nickel that I posted about a few days ago. I got it for two resons 1. I needed it for my collection and 2. Because of the "S" mint mark. I like the San Fransisco mint because it no longer makes circulation coins even though it has little effect on the coins themselves. It just makes them seem rarer, I guess. Anyway this coin is worth $0.25-$0.40.

1962-(P) Roosevelt Dime!

I recently bought a lot a silver Roosevelt Dimes for my Roosevelt Dime folder that I got around a month ago. This is one of the dimes I bought. It is in amazing condition with no prominent scratches and very little tarnish. I'm going to end this post before I get a headache. Oh yeah! Its worth about $3.00-$4.00.

1939-(P) Jefferson Nickel!

I got this a while back at (surprise, surprise) the flea market. It was only $0.50 and I needed one for my nickel collection (which mainly consists of 1964's) so I bought it. It is pretty worn and worth around $0.25.
